Beta is a family drama. The movie follows the story of Raju (Anil Kapoor), the only son of a rich landlord Prem Chaudhary (Akash Khurrana). Raju lost his mother at birth and desperately craves for the love of a mother. Thus, his father marries Lakshmi (Aruna Irani), hoping she will give him all the motherly love. However, she brainwashed him all his life, as she only wanted all of Prem Chaudhary’s property for herself and used Raju as a pawn in her plan to get everything in her name. Raju grew up as a doting son, who only did what his mother made him do and followed her blindly. Will Raju ever be able to see the real face of his mother?
