Madhuri Dixit Nene is an Indian actress and producer. She is the recipient of several awards and was one of the highest-paid actresses in the 1990s and early 2000s. She started her acting career in Bollywood with Hiren Nag’s Abodh (1984) alongside Bengali actor Tapas Paul. It was followed by her superhit movies like Tezaab (1988), Ram Lakhan (1989), Dil (1990), Saajan (1991), Beta (1992), Khalnayak (1993), Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! (1994), Dil To Pagal Hai (1997), Pukar (2000), Lajja (2001), Devdas (2002), Gulaab Gang (2014) and Kalank (2019). In 1999, she married Shriram Madhav Nene, a cardiovascular surgeon and the couple has two sons.
