Sangeet is a musical romantic drama. The movie revolves around an orpahned young girl named Nirmala (Madhuri Dixit), who is visually impaired but is blessed with the voice of an angel. She aspires to be a successful singer. She finds the help of a street performer, Sethuram (Jackie Shroff), who helps her to grow as a singer and travel around to make a mark as a singer. However, in her journey she meets her real parents. How would Nirmala react? Why did her parents abandoned? Will she ever get to learn the truth?
