Prem Pratigyaa is a romantic action drama. The movie follows the story of a young man named Raja (Mithun Chakraborty), who travels to the city to make a living. He meets a criminal named Kallu Dada (Ranjeet), who teases him and the two indulge in a fight. After winning the fight, Raja becomes a notorious underworld don. He then meets a poor girl named Laxmi (Madhuri Dixit), and helps her on different occasions. Eventually, the two fall in love with each other and decide to get married. However, Laxmi’s old lover, a Professor (Vinod Mehra), comes to her door and proposes to her for marriage. The question remains, who would be chosen by Laxmi?
