Born as Gopal Bedi, popularly known as Ranjeet, is an Indian actor and director, who is noted for playing villainous character roles in the movies. He was often typecast in the role of a rapist/molester in the movies. He has acted in movies like Amir Garib (1974), Heeralal Pannalal (1978), Namak Halal (1982), Dharamyudh (1988), Kishen Kanhaiya (1990), Koyla (1997), Welcome (2007), Housefull 2 (2012), Shootout at Wadala (2013), and many more. He has also directed the 1990 film Kaarnama and the 1992 film Ghazab Tamasha. He is married to Aloka Bedi, with whom he has two children, Devyanka Bedi and Jeeva.
