Housefull 5 is a romantic comedy-drama and the fifth installment of the Housefull series franchise which is set on a luxury cruise where billionaire Ranjeet Dobriyal (Ranjeet) is celebrating his 100th birthday who invites a whole lot of people onboard to announce his will and legal heir who'll inherit all his wealth. Ranjeet is murdered under mysterious circumstances while there are claimants for being his legal heir namely - Julius Jolly (Akshay Kumar), Jalabuddin Jolly (Riteish Deshmukh), and Jalbhushan Jolly (Abhishek Bachchan). Each one on the ship becomes a prime suspect as the police are called in to solve the murder case and identify the real legal heir. What follows is a chaotic whodunit filled with slapstick humour, misadventure, and unexpected twists and turns before the real murderer is unmasked.
