Kishen Kanhaiya is an action comedy drama, which follows the story of twin brothers - Kanhaiya and Kishen (double role by Anil Kapoor), who were separated at birth. Sunderdas’ wife gives birth to twin boys, but the midwife, Leela, who was childless, takes one baby, Kanhaiya, with herself. Sunderdas’ wife dies due to complications at birth, so for the sake of Kishen, he marries Kamini. Kamini abuses Kishen and keeps him illiterate, so one day she can have all his property in her name. Meanwhile, Kanhaiya grows up as a street-smart fighter. When the two brothers finally meet and learn the truth, they decide to switch places and together fight against their evil stepmother.
