Aman (Sanjay Dutt) is a poor, handicapped orphaned boy who is adopted by his wealthy friend Akash Verma’s (Salman Khan) parents. After adoption Aman is given their family name and to manage their family’s construction business. Akash and Aman grow up as brothers till Pooja Saxena (Madhuri Dixit) enters into their lives. Aman initially falls in love with Pooja but hesitates to profess his emotions when Akash too falls head over heels in love with her. When Aman comes to know of this, he gets out of Akash’s way as he feels that why should a girl reciprocate orphans love and also, it’s the right way to pay back the good Akash and his parents have done for him. But as fate would have it, Akash gets to know about Aman’s love for Pooja. What happens next forms the remaining part of this love triangle.
