Vardi is an action crime drama. The movie follows the story of a Police Commissioner Verma (Vinod Mehra), who lives with his wife and son, Anil (Jackie Shroff). Verma arrests a dreaded criminal Lalchand (Kader Khan), who exacts his revenge from Verma, by kidnapping Anil. While trying to save Anil, Verma’s accomplice Havaldar Bhagwan Singh (Sameer Khakhar) gets killed. Later, Verma and his wife adopt his son, Ajay (Sunny Deol), and raise him as their own. Ajay grows up to become a police inspector. He then decides to exact revenge from Lalchand, and also learns that Anil is alive. Will Ajay be able to set scores right with Lalchand and unite Anil with his family?
