Khilaaf is a romantic action drama. The movie revolves around Vikram ‘Vicky’ Veerpratap Singh (Chunky Pandey), who comes from a poor background. Vicky falls in love with Shweta (Madhuri Dixit), the daughter of a wealthy man. However, due to the differences in their status, Shweta’s father disapproves of the match. Later, Shweta’s father arranges her marriage with a wealthy man, and also hires goons to beat Vicky brutally and teach him a lesson. Shweta learns about her father’s actions and leaves her marriage ceremony. The question remains, will the lovers finally unite?
