Armaan is a social romantic drama that revolves around Akash Sinha (Anil Kapoor), who works as a doctor in the hospital founded by his father Dr. Siddharth Sinha (Amitabh Bachchan). Siddharth wishes to have the best facilities in his hospital, however, before he could realise his dream, he gets a heart attack and dies. Akash vows to fulfil his dying father’s last wish. He falls in love with Neha (Gracy Singh), his colleague. Meanwhile, Sonia (Preity Zinta), a rich-spoilt girl, falls in love with Akash and wants to marry him. Marrying Sonia might solve Akash’s problems, as her father could fund the hospital and help him fulfil his father’s wish. This leaves Akash in a dilemma, as he might have to sacrifice his love to complete his duties as a son.
