Lamhe is a musical romantic drama. The movie follows the story of a young man named Viren (Anil Kapoor), who lives in London. He visits India for the first time, and meets a beautiful girl named Pallavi (Sridevi), and falls in love with her. However, Pallavi is in love with someone else and gets married to him. Soon, Viren returns to London heartbroken. Sometime later, he learns that Pallavi and her husband died in an accident, leaving behind their new-born baby girl Pooja. He decides to take care of Pooja’s financial needs, but never meets her. Twenty years later, when he finally meets her, he is shocked to see that Pooja looks exactly like Pallavi. Things get complicated when Pooja confesses her love for Viren. Will Viren ever be able to accept Pooja, knowing that she is the daughter of the same woman he loved so deeply?
