Laadla is a romantic action drama that revolves around Raj ‘Raju’ Verma (Anil Kapoor), who lives with his disabled widowed mother Gayatri (Farida Jalal). After saving the life of textile mill owner Laxminarayan Jetley (Anupam Kher), he gets a job offered in his factory. Raju soon becomes the union leader of the workers of the factory, and often confronts Sheetal (Sridevi), daughter of Laxminarayan Jetley and manager of his textile mill, informing her about the bad condition of workers in her factory. However, being an ignorant and selfish person, Sheetal ignores everything that Raju has to say. Later, situations turn against Sheetal and she has no choice but to convince Raju to marry her to have full control on him. She manipulates Gayatri to convince her son. Raju reluctantly marries Sheetal and startsto live with her, but still has a soft corner for his fellow factory workers. Will Raju be able to make Sheetal change her heart and be a better person?
