Chakki is a social comedy-drama about a middle-class young and energetic man named Vijay (Rahul Bhat) who lives in a small town along with his mother and younger brother. He owns a flour mill (Chakki) and as the breadwinner for his family stays happily along with his hopes and dreams. He also is in love with a local girl (Priya Bapat) whom he plans to marry. Everything seems to be fine in his life until one fine day he receives a hefty electricity bill, amounting to Rs. 1.6 Lakh, against his flour mill. He tries every possible way to get his bill corrected by visiting the electricity board department office. He also goes to the extent of bribing some corrupt government officials but fails to rectify the error in his bill resulting in his flour mill not functioning as expected. In a desperate situation, Vijay takes some illegal steps that land him in a bigger problem. What does Vijay do, will come to terms with his problems or give into the hands of the system?
