Chandni Bar is a crime biopic drama. The movie follows the story of a young girl named Mumtaz (Tabu). Mumtaz’s parents are killed in a communal riot, thus she had to move to Mumbai to live with her impoverished uncle. To earn a living, she is forced to take the job of a bar dancer in Chandni Bar. When her uncle tries to sexually assault her, Mumtaz finds solace in the arms of a gangster named Potiya (Atul Kulkarni). She decides to marry him to safeguard her future. However, when the two have children together, Potiya starts to show his true colours, and then leaves his family. After going through so much in her life, will Chandni still find strength to start her life again and live for her children?
