Chennai Express is a romantic action-comedy drama that follows the story of a young man Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan), who sets out to immerse the ashes of his dead grandfather at Rameshwaram. His life takes an interesting turn when he boards the train Chennai Express to head to Rameshwaram. He meets Meena (Deepika Padukone), a runaway Tamil bride, and decides to save her from the goons. However, he learns that Meena’s father is the boss of the goons and he is forced to face the ire of her criminal family.
