Chingaari is a romantic drama. The movie revolves around a prostitute named Basanti (Sushmita Sen), who has a child and lives in a village. Things take a turn when a new postman, Chandan (Anuj Sawhney), arrives in the village and is moved by Basanti’s story. The two soon fall in love and want to marry each other. However, they are opposed by a priest named Bhuvan Panda (Mithun Chakraborty), who is a regular customer of Basanti and is treated like a God by the villagers. With the opposition of such a powerful man, will true love still win?
