Coat is a family drama about Madho (Vivaan Shah) who belongs to a lower caste family who makes a living out of pig farming. Belonging to a low caste, Madho’s family is not looked upon with respect by the fellow villagers, which disturbs the other family members. One day Madho sees a foreigner getting all the attention and respect just because he was wearing an expensive coat. Determined to succeed and gain villagers' respect, Madho sets about to acquire a coat that he cannot afford.
