Daadi Ki Shaadi revolves around Tony Kalra (Kapil Sharma), the cheerful heir to the popular Kalra Sweets empire, whose long streak of bad luck in love finally seems to end when he is matched with his college crush, Kanika Ahuja (Sadia Khateeb). With their engagement fixed almost instantly, Tony is overjoyed at the prospect of marrying the woman of his dreams. However, chaos erupts when news breaks that Kanika’s grandmother, Vimla Ahuja (Neetu Kapoor), has decided to get married herself. Shocked by the unconventional situation, Tony’s grandfather declares that Tony’s wedding cannot proceed if Vimla goes ahead with hers. Determined to save his relationship, Tony follows the Ahuja family to Shimla, joined by his younger brother and estranged sister, in a frantic attempt to stop the wedding.
