Daddy is a crime-action biopic drama based on the life and times of noted Mumbai criminal Arun Gawli. The movie revolves around Arun Gawli (Arjun Rampal), a young unemployed man who is forced to walk on the path of crime to make a livelihood and resorts to Matka-gambling. He gets mired in the coil of crime when he starts working for the gangster Maqsood Bhai (Farhan Akhtar). Soon, Arun’s life takes a turn and the Matka-gambling turns into a full-fledged criminal network.
