Dhadak is the Hindi remake of Marathi's blockbuster movie Sairat which is a tale of a poor boy falling in love with a rich girl of another caste. Madhukar (Ishaan Khatter) and Parthavi (Janhvi Kapoor) are collegemates who fall in love with one another only to elope and get married despite being torn between society and families as fate becomes uncertain for their love continues to stand strong.
