Dhanwaan is a romantic drama. The movie revolves around the childhood sweethearts - Kashinath (Ajay Devgn) and Imli (Manisha Koirala). Their lives take a turn when a wealthy girl named Anjali (Karisma Kapoor), who is suffering from an illness, comes into Kashinath's life. Kashinath takes good care of Anjali, which helps her to recover. Anjali eventually falls in love with Kashinath and declares to her father that she’ll marry Kashinath. Kashinath, unaware of Anjali’s feelings, learns that Imli is suffering from a heart disease and may die if not treated in time. What sacrifices would Kashinath make in order to save Imli?
