Gangster: A True Love Story is a romantic musical thriller drama. The movie revolves around Simran (Kangana Ranaut), a bar dancer, who falls in love with a caring and kind man Aakash (Emraan Hashmi), a singer in a restaurant. However, things take a turn for the couple when Simran’s ex-boyfriend Daya Shankar (Shiney Ahuja), a notorious gangster returns and wants to get back with Simran. When Daya learns about Simran and Aakash’s relationship, he severely beats Aakash in a fit of jealousy. For peace in everyone’s life, Simran must make a choice between Aakash and Daya.
