Geetanjali is a romantic action drama. The movie follows the story of twin sisters - Geeta and Anjali (double role by Rekha). Geeta is a music teacher in college, while Anjali is a world famous dancer. Geeta meets Sagar (Jeetendra), a college professor, in her college and the two fall in love and get married. Everything goes well until one of the students of Sagar, Kaveri (Amita Nangia), falsely accuses Sagar for molesting her, after Sagar turns her down. Geeta, who suspected Sagar of having an affair, leaves him and starts to live with her sister. However, Anjali, who knows Sagar well, doesn’t believe the story and goes to meet Sagar, pretending to be Geeta, to learn the truth. Will Anjali be able to help Sagar prove his innocence?
