Gully Boy is a romantic musical drama which revolves around Murad Shaikh (Ranveer Singh) and Sakina (Alia Bhatt) who are raised in poor families and brought up in the streets of Mumbai but aspire to dream big. Murad is a rapper who wants to graduate to authentic hip hop in India and make a name for himself but finds the going tough despite opposition from his family while Sakina wants to become a neurosurgeon. How they both realize their dreams and make it a reality forms the crux of the story.
