Guru is a biographical romantic drama inspired by famous industrialist tycoon Dhirubhai Ambani’s life. The movie revolves around a young ambitious man named Gurukant “Guru” Desai (Abhishek Bachchan) who lives in a small village in northern Gujarat. Guru works in a blue-collar job but leaves the job to follow his dream to start the business. He moves to Bombay along with his wife Sujata (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) and starts trading in cloth and soon sets up the manufacturing units under the name “Shakti Corporation”. Guru faces a lot of hardships and struggles before he makes it big and makes his business one of the largest in India.
