Hatya is an action crime drama. The movie revolves around a young man named Sagar (Govinda), who drinks everyday. One such night, being heavily intoxicated, Sagar finds a young boy (Sujitha) in a garbage can and takes him home. Sagar realizes that the boy is deaf and dump, so he names him Raja and tries to find his parents. However, he understands nothing that Raja tells him. Later, a businessman named Kailash Nath (Om Shivpuri) claims that Raja is his grandson, and informs that his daughter and Raja’s mother was brutally murdered, and assumes that Sagar is the killer. He gets Sagar arrested and tortured, but he doesn’t know that the real culprits, are roaming free and even Raja’s life is in danger. Will Sagar be able to prove his innocence and also save Raja from the killers?
