Hungama 2 is an adaptation of director Priyadarshan’s 1994 Malayalam film Minnaram. The story is that of a young girl named Vaani (Pranitha Subhash) who one fine day lands up at Kapoors’ (Ashutosh Rana’s) doorstep with a toddler, claiming that it is his son Aakash’s (Meezaan Jaffery) child who had fallen in love with her in college. Aakash refuses the claim but Vaani is adamant and decides not to leave the Kapoor's house till they accept her and the child. Aakash swears innocence and tries various ways to prove that Vaani is a liar by seeking family friend and colleague Anjali’s (Shilpa Shetty) help in the matter who’s husband Radheshyam Tiwari (Paresh Rawal) believes that Anjali and Aakash are having an affair. What happens next, does Aakash prove his innocence, who is the father of Vaani’s child? All this is revealed at the end of this comedy-drama.
