India Lockdown is a social drama that is set amidst the background of India’s first shutdown due to Covid-19. The movie showcases the impacts faced by millions of people during the pandemic and how it affected people’s life. The narration comprises of four parallel stories about people who come from various backgrounds – a pilot, a sex worker, a daily-wage labourer, a house-worker and mother who live in hope that the lockdown will be lifted after 21 days. The pilot stuck in her own house tries distracting herself by flirting with a neighbour while the sex worker tries to find new ways to earn money as physical contact is restricted due to the pandemic. The migrant worker walks to his village along with his family after failing to pay rent and being unable to survive in a big city without any income. The house-worker too tries different ways to survive trying to keep up with Covid-19 lockdown updates. However, against all their hopes and wishes, the lockdown continues as each one has to make a choice to either give up, or survive against all odds and costs.
