Ishq Vishk is a coming-of-age romantic musical drama. The story revolves around a college student Rajiv (Shahid Kapoor), who wants to be one of the popular kids of the college. To gain popularity Rajiv decides to have a girlfriend. Rajiv asks out his childhood friend Payal (Amrita Rao), who studies in the same college. Payal, a reserved girl, who was secretly in love with Rajiv, reciprocates his feelings and accepts his proposal. However, when Rajiv tries to take advantage of Payal’s feelings, she realises that he was never serious about her and leaves him. Without any regret, Rajiv pursues another girl in the college, Alisha (Shehnaz Treasury), who has recently joined the college. Despite being with Alisha, Rajiv starts to miss Payal, and realises his mistake. He decides to confront Payal and tell her how much he loves her. Will Payal accept Rajiv’s apology and get back with him, or will it be the end of their love story?
