Shahid Kapoor is an Indian film actor born to actors Pankaj Kapoor and Neelima Azeem, and a half-brother to actor Ishaan Khattar. He appeared as a background dancer in many 90s movies and was also featured in several advertisements before becoming an actor. Kapoor made his debut as a Bollywood actor with the 2003 film Ishq Vishk, which earned him Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. Post his debut he went on to deliver many successful movies like Vivah (2006), Jab We Met (2007), Kaminey (2009), Mausam (2011), Haider (2014), Udta Punjab (2016), Padmaavat (2018), and Kabir Singh (2019). In 2015, Kapoor married Mira Rajput, a university student from New Delhi, with whom he has two children – Misha and Zain.
