Set in 1995, O’Romeo is an action-packed romantic thriller that follows the story of Ustara (Shahid Kapoor), a contract killer living in Mumbai with his grandmother (Farida Jalal) and his loyal crew. Now under the protection of Intelligence Bureau officer Ismail Khan (Nana Patekar), Ustara carries out covert eliminations for him after falling out with fugitive gangster Jalal (Avinash Tiwary), his former employer. Ustara’s life takes an unexpected turn when a mysterious woman, Afshan (Triptii Dimri), appears at his hideout and asks him to kill three people: lawyer Anjum Ansari (Resh Lamba), cop Pathare (Rahul Deshpande), and finally Jalal. He initially brushes off her request, but when Afshan desperately attempts—and fails—to kill Ansari herself, Ustara steps in, saves her, and finishes the job. Convinced of her determination, he agrees to take on the remaining targets. What follows is a dangerous mission that puts Ustara at odds with powerful forces. Taking down a police officer could draw unwanted attention and risk Khan’s support, while eliminating Jalal—now hiding in La Línea, Spain—means confronting a far deadlier enemy.
