Rangoon is a war drama set in 1943, as the Second World War is raging. The movie revolves around Miss Julia (Kangana Ranaut), a leading film star of Indian cinema and star performer of a dance troupe. She travels to the Indo-Burma border to perform for the troops during World War II on the insistence of her boyfriend, Rustom ‘Rusi’ Billimoria (Saif Ali Khan). There she gets close to one of the soldiers, Jemadar Malik (Shahid Kapoor). However, she falls in love with him, and the chaos ensues when they find themselves in the middle of the love triangle.
