Kabir Singh is the official remake of the Telugu super hit movie Arjun Reddy where a young doctor Kabir Singh (Shahid Kapoor) falls madly in love with Preethi (Kiara Advani) in college but the latter's family is against it due to Kabir's weird ways. Kabir hits the bottle and gets into drugs despite being a famous and successful surgeon. He spoils his life further when he is informed that Preethi has been married off to someone else. How Kabir comes to terms with his failed love and successful profession is what the remaining part of the story is all about.
