Mausam is a romantic drama where the story of the film spans over a period of ten years, from 1992 to 2002, and includes references to the Indo-Pakistan wars and several riots in the country. The movie revolves around Harinder ‘Harry’ Singh (Shahid Kapoor), a Punjabi man, who falls in love with a Kashmiri girl named Aayat (Sonam Kapoor), Kashmiri girl. However, their love is tested due to Indo-Pakistan War, terrorist attacks in India and several Hindu-Muslim riots in the country. The couple must overcome all the problems to be together.
