Deewane Huye Paagal is a comedy drama. The movie revolves around Tanya Mulchandani (Rimi Sen). Tanya unwittingly witnesses the murder of a scientist named Khurana, by his evil twin brother, the underworld don Mehboob (Om Puri). Following the incident, Tanya is forced to flee to Dubai to save her own life. Karan (Shahid Kapoor), Tanya’s college friend, loves her and goes after her. However, in Dubai Tanya has many more suitors including a crook Rocky (Akshay Kumar), a local plumber Sanju (Suniel Shetty), her live-in friend Tommy (Paresh Rawal), and a gangster named Sunny (Suresh Menon). Things go haywire and everything is followed by a series of funny events whenever these suitors try to pursue her or try to deceive others.
