Shaandaar is a romantic musical drama that revolves around a business-minded family who wants to marry their daughter Isha Arora (Sanah Kapur) to the son of a rich businessman. The marriage would mark the business merger between the Fundwanis led by Mr. Fundwani (Sanjay Kapoor) and Aroras led by Mr. Bipin Arora (Pankaj Kapur). The Aroras are desperate for the marriage as they are bankrupt and really need the money. The wedding is planned by Jogjinder Joginder ‘JJ’ (Shahid Kapur) who falls in love with Alia Arora (Alia Bhatt), the adopted daughter of Bipin Arora. At the wedding, JJ tries to bring the dysfunctional family of Aroras together and reveal the real side of the Fundwani’s who have vested interests in the marriage.
