Youngest son of film producer Surinder Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor is an actor. His elder brothers Boney Kapoor and Anil Kapoor were already renowned names in Hindi cinema when he made his screen debut in Bollywood with the 1995 film Prem, alongside Tabu, but the movie bombed at box office. However, his next film Raja (1995), alongside Madhuri Dixit, was a box office hit. Some important movies of his career include Auzaar (1997), Mohabbat (1997), Sirf Tum (1999), Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe (2002), Qayamat: City Under Threat (2003), Julie (2004), Luck By Chance (2009), Shaandaar (2015), The Zoya Factor (2019) and many more. He has also produced films like Kya Time Hai Yaar (2009) and Tevar (2014). In 1997, he married his longtime girlfriend, actress Maheep Sandhu, and the couple has two children - Shanaya and Jahaan Kapoor.
