Qayamat: City Under Threat is an action thriller drama that revolves around Akram Sheikh (Suniel Shetty), a CBI officer who is assigned the case of three terrorists – Ali (Sanjay Kapoor), Abbas (Arbaaz Khan) and Laila (Isha Koppikar), who are the accomplices of Rashid (Deep Dhillon), the leader of ISI. They get their hands on the deadliest virus which can kill anyone within 3 km radius, thus they load the missiles with the virus and take 213 tourists as their hostages in Elphinstone Jail and demand 1500 crores ransom from the Indian government in 24 hours. Otherwise, they will release missiles in the water bodies of Mumbai, bringing the apocalypse. Akram Sheikh asks the Chief Minister to release Rachit (Ajay Devgn), a criminal and the only man who knows how to escape Elphinstone Jail. Will Akram be able to protect the city from the apocalypse with Rachit’s help?
