A remake of Yash Chopra's 1969 classic suspense thriller Ittefaq, Ittefaq too is based on a double murder case with two witnesses, Vikram (Sidharth Malhotra) and Maya (Sonakshi Sinha), who are also the suspects. To find the truth, police officer Dev (Akshaye Khanna) starts interrogating them as the game of cat and mouse begins. Who is telling the truth and who is not continues for a while till a twist in the tale gets Dev to do a turnaround.
