Jigra is a heart-wrenching story of Satya Anand (Alia Bhatt), a young woman, and her brother, Ankur Anand (Vedang Raina) who have endured a difficult childhood, and now only have one another to look forward to. Ankur gets a job outside India but soon finds himself in trouble when he is imprisoned and tortured in a foreign jail by the police. Satya learns about Ankur when a series of tragic events threaten his life. With no other option available, Satya decides to rescue her brother from a drug-related predicament in a foreign land. With only three months to save, Satya confronts formidable challenges head-on and thinks of attempting the unthinkable of breaking him out of prison and bringing him to safety.
