Kanoon Apna Apna is an action crime drama. The government official Jagatpratap Singh (Dilip Kumar) strictly follows law and order, and carries out his job with honesty. However, his son Ravi (Sanjay Dutt) sometimes indulges in illegal activities and deals with the criminals. This becomes the cause of conflict between the father and son.
