Mast Mein Rehne Ka is a slice-of-life comedy drama set in Mumbai that centers around a lonely widower, Kamath (Jackie Shroff), who lives a routine life of retirement until a robbery at his place shakes him up. The police who find him unconscious the next day advise him to have someone beside him. Kamat starts befriending strangers to have someone for himself at his house when he crosses paths with a vibrant Punjabi lady named Mrs. Prakash Handa (Neena Gupta). To make her accept her proposal he follows her around until one fine day her house gets robbed as Kamath becomes the prime suspect making them land at the police station together. But fate takes a turn when they encounter the real thief and, in the bargain, strive to rediscover themselves once again.
