Mere Baap Pehle Aap is a comedy-romantic drama. The movie revolves around Gaurav (Akshaye Khanna) and his single father, Janardhan (Paresh Rawal). Gaurav treats his father with love and care for raising him and his brother as a single parent. Gaurav meets his old college classmate, Shikha (Genelia D’Souza), who lives with her guardian Anuradha (Shobana). Gaurav and Shikha find out that Anuradha was Janardhan’s first love and the two are still in love. Gaurav and Shikha then decide to reunite the two lovers, and in the process, the two find soulmates in each other.
