Monsoon Shootout is an action thriller. The movie follows the story of Aditya (Vijay Varma), a rookie cop, who joins the anti-extortion unit of Mumbai police led by Inspector Khan. Khan has set up an ambush to chase a dreaded gangster, but the ambush goes wrong. Aditya then chases Shiva (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), an armed criminal and wanted gangster, and the two reach a dead-end alley. However, Aditya is unsure whether or not to kill Shiva in the encounter.
