Praveena Deshpande was a Marathi and Hindi film, theatre, web series, and television actress who was known for her notable roles in films such as 'Mumbai Meri Jaan', 'Ready', 'Bombay Talkies', 'D-Day', 'Ek Villain', 'Gabbar Is Back', 'Aligarh', 'Parmanu', 'Jalebi', 'Hacked', and 'Love-All', and for TV shows including 'Ghar Ek Mandir', 'Kumkum', 'Karam Apnaa Apnaa', and 'Kulfi Kumar Bajewala'. Her last appearance was in the Emraan Hashmi–starrer Netflix series 'Taskaree: The Smuggler’s Web' (2026). She passed away at her Mumbai residence on 17 February 2026 at the age of 60 after battling cancer.
