Gabbar is Back is an action revenge drama and the official remake of the 2002 Tamil film Ramanaa. The movie revolves around a college professor named Aditya Singh Rajput (Akshay Kumar). He transforms himself into a vigilante by the name of Gabbar to take revenge on the corrupt Government officials who are the reason for his tragedy. Gabbar has links with the honest officers from each government department, who help him to achieve his goal of exposing the corrupt officials of the department and eradicating corruption from the nation. Aditya eliminated all one by one to reach the kingpin behind the nexus but not before surrendering himself to the police and bringing in a revolution.
