Ready is an action-comedy film and a remake of the Telugu hit film of the same title. The movie revolves around a street-smart man named Prem (Salman Khan), who lives with his joint family. Prem’s family fixes his marriage with a girl named Pooja, who was suggested by their family guru. Meanwhile, Sanjana (Asin), who has just run away from her wedding, overhears Prem’s plan to ditch Pooja. As none of the family members has ever seen Pooja, Sanjana decides to pose as Pooja. Soon Prem and Sanjana fall in love with each other and Prem learn about Sanjana’s identity. Prem decides to protect Sanjana from her two mafia uncles who only wish to inherit her wealth.
