Paramaatma is a spiritual social drama. The movie revolves around an honest and simple priest named Mahdevacharya (Mithun Chakraborty), who finds happiness in his spiritual life and spends most of his time worshipping the Lord Vishnu. However, his atheist brother Gopal (also played by Mithun Chakraborty) lives a life of a criminal, and his ways of living bothers Mahdevacharya, who finds himself standing against his brother for his notorious activities. Will Mahdevacharya be able to help his brother mend his ways of living?
