Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba is a romantic crime thriller and the sequel to Haseen Dillruba, which revolves around a multi-layered narrative packed with romance, suspense, mystery, and a criminal twist. Rani Saxena (Taapsee Pannu) and Rishabh Saxena (Vikrant Massey), who manage to evade the cops, land up in Agra to start life afresh while battling the secrets of their past. All doesn't go well, as their plans go awry. To get their lives back on track, Rani takes the help of a mild-mannered admirer, Abhimanyu (Sunny Kaushal), who is expected to create a wave of emotions, but not before ACP Mrityunjay Prasad (Jimmy Sheirgill) plays spoilsport.
